GSH celebrates its Nurses

 

2020 was the year of the Nurse and Midwife but with the COVID pandemic, a lot of the plans had to be put on hold. Nursing Management decided that all our nurses needed to be honored for their self-less dedication to the profession and in dealing with this pandemic.

 

A socially distanced event was held in Palm Court where nurses were entertained by local artists and celebrities, nurses dressed in uniforms of yesteryear and where fallen nurses were remembered with the symbolic releasing of doves. The event was enjoyed by all. Prizes were awarded for the best collage of nursing teams.

A special commemoration service was held together with the different faith ministers and pastoral team within the hospital. White doves were released as a symbolic reminder of those who have gone before us.

The Facility Board thanked our nurses with a special gift and a meal voucher.
